In the last couple of weeks, I've been hard at work on version 2.0 of Flowvi.be [FlowVibe] and I'm very happy to say that things are coming along nicely.
Of course, it's all a bit last minute - WWDC is just around the corner and as I'm writing this post, I'm just a few hours away from my deadline to submit the app to the App Store.
So this feels like the perfect time to share that in addition to many new features and improvements, v2.0 comes with a new app icon. Not that there was anything wrong with the old one, of course. Flowvi.be's focus on music remains unchanged, but a number of new features regarding light sync and visual effects will be added in this release, which I think warrants a branding tweak.
So, here is a sneak peek:

On a personal note, the icon update was quite a thrill to implement, as this is the first time I've used InkScape as a vector editing app. It took a moment to undo years of muscle memory, but I'm very happy to have found a happy path while using open tools. I expect there'll be a lot more of that going forward.
